South Africa has a myriad of choices for a romantic holiday, with many attractions in every region. However, located in the south of the country, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and is backed by the iconic Table Mountain. The "Mother City" offers some of the most romantic things to do in South Africa, listed below.

2. Watch the sunset from Table Mountain

Table Mountain is the iconic and beautiful backdrop to the city of Cape Town. Take a cable car up to the summit shortly before sunset and enjoy spectacular views over the city, Table Bay and the Atlantic Sea. Cape Town sunsets are a pleasure to behold and this is especially so from the top of the mountain.

3. Sunset from Bloubergstrand

Keeping with sunsets,we now head to the suburb of Bloubergstrand, a 15-km drive from downtown Cape Town. Here the gorgeous beaches stretch for miles. However, the main attraction is the beautiful, picture-postcard view of Table Mountain. This is among the most romantic things to do in South Africa - strolling on a white sand beach, while gazing at the sunset.
