historical Bo'Kaap also known as the Cape Malay quarters is recognised
for being the only original settlement where Apartheid was never able to
enforce forced removals making it, one of the richest historical sites
in Cape Town. Characterised by it's brightly coloured homes and cobble
streets, you can buy anything from Indian spices, to traditional Cape Malay
food as well as funky African art and craft, and is now a favoured destination
for film and advertising shoots. It's a must to visit and stay in. |
