Wolwekrantz
Guest Cottage is situated in Hout Bay, up a mountain road, off the beaten
track. The romantic setting of our large property provides magnificent
views of the Bay, the mountains that surround it, the harbour and the beach.
In Hout Bay, everything is close and accessible. The quiet, picturesque
beach is only 1 km from our house, as are the variety of shops and restaurants.

|
| Hout
Bay is within easy reach of Cape Town's tourist attractions: we are 20
minutes from the V and A Waterfront, the City and Table Mountain Cable
Car. A scenic route will take you to Cape Point and the penguins at Boulders
in less than an hour and the Winelands are within easy access too.
Wolwekrantz
tells of the history of the area, of a time, when leopards were mistaken
for wolves.

The
cottage has loads of character, enhanced by natural stone, wood and terracotta.
The open-plan lounge/dining room has comfortable sofas and Oregon pine
furniture. It has large wooden windows, which let in the view. The area
adjoins a well-equipped kitchen with microwave, hob, coffee machine, kettle,
toaster and fridge. For guests who come in the cooler months, there is
an open log fireplace in the lounge.

|
| The
cottage sleeps four: the main bedroom has a queen-size double bed, built-in
cupboards and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Like the lounge,
it has large windows and a great view. From the lounge, a wooden staircase
leads to the second cozy attic bedroom, which children love. It has two
single beds.
There
is a second bathroom downstairs with a shower and a separate toilet.

|
| From
Wolwekrantz you can walk up the mountain and enjoy a panoramic view, even
as far as Cape Point. If you prefer to relax, you can lounge by the pool
in our magnificent garden, where a mountain stream feeds shaded ponds.
Alternatively, enjoy the peace of our secluded, shady garden where you
can braai, or simply watch the squirrels play in the oaks. A bonus for
our European guests is that host, Jacqui, speaks fluent German and Dutch
and some French and is a registered tour guide for the Cape Town area.
