Renovated 19th Century Single Storey House

Built in 1881, Tintagel is located in the heart of the fashionable Kloof Street precinct of historic Gardens.

This charming little Victorian villa has been carefully restored in authentic period detail, preserving all the elegance of a bygone age, yet equipped with all the amenities of a modern guesthouse.

Amenities offered in our rooms include colour TV, fan/heater, free ADSL internet connection, international power points, security safe and tea and coffee-making facilities. Hairdryer on request.

Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the patio between 08h00 and 10h00. Continental breakfast can be served at an earlier time on request.

We are close to the CBD, and well situated for tourist attractions such as the Table Mountain cableway (6 kms), V&A Waterfront (6 kms), Chapman's Peak Drive (12 kms), beach (7 kms) and Government Avenue and Company Gardens (1 km).
There are numerous first class restaurants within easy safe walking distance of Tintagel. Choices range from Oriental to classical European and traditional African cuisine.
Two multi-screen cinemas (The Labia) are within five minutes' walk of Tintagel. The world-renowned UCT Little Theatre is also a few minutes' walk away.
Secure off street parking is available free of charge.
The Table Mountain cableway is a few kilometres away and clearly visible from our front porch.
Compared to the rest of The Cape, Tintagel is a relatively wind protected area permitting pleasant outdoor breakfasts and evenings sitting under the vines on the patio.
