The
hotel itself is large with a beautiful pool, deck and terrace which is
perfect for lying in the sun, DSTV in the rooms, wireless internet throughout
the hotel, DVD player and Sony Play Station on request, beauty salon and
gym to keep GUESTS occupied yet relaxed.
The
Protea Hotel President’s location is ideal as it is so central, and GUESTS
are able to walk to many places. Moreover, there is a shuttle stop outside
the hotel that takes GUESTS to Canal Walk, and if a GUEST is wanting to
go anywhere in particular or navigate a route, there is a travel desk in
the reception area where transport can be advised and arranged. A two minute
walk down the road from the hotel leads to the Sea Point Promenade where
there are usually surfers trying to catch a good wave. Sea Point main road
(a minute walk away) has many shops and restaurants where teens can browse
the latest fashions as well as get an ice cream or a meal. |

is also a putt-putt course, a maze and a Virgin Active Health club. Minutes
away is the famous V&A Waterfront with hundreds of shops, a movie cinema,
amphitheatre, restaurants and activities. 5 minutes to the other side of
the hotel is Camps Bay and Clifton beaches – more specifically Clifton
4th beach where all the local teenagers gather in the afternoons and on
weekends. Clifton and Camps Bay are also lined with trendy restaurants
and cocktail bars where you can catch a glimpse of Cape Town’s celebrities

can definitely have a relaxed holiday with their children as The President
hotel caters for the whole family.

under 13 on arrival get an activity pack filled with crayons, activity
books and sweets.

the holiday season (roughly 20 Dec – 4 Jan) The President runs a kids programme
whereby the hotel employs someone to entertain the children during this
period. A room is a set aside and decorated for children as a play room,
and there are also organised activities to keep children occupied such
as treasure hunts, competitions, and games as well as video games and movies.

| Accommodation
at the Protea Hotel President comprises 349 well-appointed rooms and suites
on the Bantry Bay beachfront. In accordance with new smoking legislations,
the hotel now offers three smoking and non-smoking floors. GUESTS can choose
to have either a sea-facing or mountain-facing room, as well as whether
to have twin or double beds. The hotel also offers 3 disabled rooms and
is also designed (by means of ramps and elevators) to accommodate disabled
GUESTS.
All
rooms and suites contain tea and coffee making facilities, a remote control
satellite television, hairdryer, telephone, sleeper couch, individual air
conditioning, electronic room safe, ADSL plug-point and wireless internet,
safety latches and electronic locking devices on all doors. Kitchenettes
are stocked with appliances, crockery and cutlery, but do not contain hot
plates or an oven.
Our
recent refurbishment has seen all of our rooms and passageways re-painted,
to create a warm and welcoming feeling for our valued GUESTS. You will
also find brand new sleeper couches in all sea-facing rooms, as well as
new voile curtains and desk lamps. All chairs in the rooms have been recovered
and the rooms are looking totally refreshed. But, don't take our word for
it ... come and experience it for yourself.

nature lovers, there are many hiking and walking trails up and along Table
Mountain and Lions Head and, 40 minutes away from the hotel, you can find
wine routes and farms where one can sample the Cape's world-class wines,

a scheduled shuttle which will pick you up and drop you back off right
