Eagle's Nest nestles high on a hill overlooking Entabeni Lake and Mountain in the Entabeni Game Reserve. Safari Lodge, Day and Night Game Drives, Guided Nature Walks, Star-Gazing, Bird Watching, Visits to Pedi Cultural Village, Museums, Horse-Riding, Picnic Lunches, Helicopter Flights.

More than 10 000 ha of beautiful scenery and vegetation, comprising bushveld, unspoilt ravines and wooded hillsides that are haven to the Big Five, a large variety of game and the Eugene Marais Cycad. Entabeni features a 2000 ft escarpment linked by a road through the spectacular Yellow-wood Gorge and a 1.5 km lake, waterfalls, clear mountain pools and streams. Bush picnics and dinners can be enjoyed at a series of magical places and bush venues.

The exclusive Eagle's Nest has four en suite bedrooms. This luxury wooden and stone lodge built on stilts provides a perfect setting with spectacular bird's-eye views. A spacious, elegantly decorated private lounge and dining area with fireplace leads on to a unique rock-face boma and sun deck. Eagle's Nest offers personalized service, tranquility and privacy.

Entabeni Game Reserve is malaria-free, has a moderate climate, summer rainfall and a close proximity to Johannesburg/Pretoria. The reserve offers five splendidly situated lodges/camps, set on two escarpments in a series of awesome landscapes. Lake Entabeni lies between soaring bluffs and peaks, a wonderful place for hippo and bird watching and viewing a rich variety of wildlife.

The lodge has a ideal setting and entices guests to relax on wooden decks overlooking the lake and Entabeni Mountain. Activities include early morning and late afternoon game drives on open safari vehicles in Big Five territory and guided nature walks on the reserve.

Other activities include stargazing, bird-watching, moonlit boma dinners, picnic lunches at a nearby waterfall and bush sundowners. Visit the health/beauty centre, Eugene Marais museum, Pedi Cultural Village and Curio shops. Scenic helicopter flights with our on site helicopter can be arranged including breakfast trips to the majestic Hanglip Mountain which, believe us when we say, is an experience 'beyond comparison'.
