King family welcomes you to Eagles’ Rock, our beautiful piece of God’s
creation set in the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains near Underberg
and Himeville. We are only 7.7 km out of Underberg on the Drakensberg Gardens
Road.
Eagles’
Rock is spectacularly positioned on a mountain plateau overlooking the
Umzimkulu river and farmlands with the Giants Cup flanked by the mighty
Hodgeson’s peaks in the background. Enjoy the tranquility of our 25 acres
of land, with pure spring water and lovely views.

the Duiker, Thimble or Kingfisher trail, or spend a day hiking in the berg.
Birdwatch and add to the checklist of over 100 bird species. Cast a fly
into our well stocked trout dams. Swim in the river, the dams or filtered
splash pool. Canoe, paddle ski or row. Tube the river, ride horses, visit
San rock art sites, take a 4X4 trip up Sani Pass or simply relax. The options
and possibilities here are endless.

winter evenings in front of a cosy log fire. All cottages are comfortably
furnished, fully equipped, and serviced from Monday to Saturday.

is a cosy cottage consisting of a large open-plan room with a double bed
and sleeper couch. This cottage is fully-equipped for self-catering.

The
Fish Eagle Chalet has three bedrooms. Bedroom one consists of a double
bed plus electric blanket with an en–suite shower, toilet and basin. The
sitting room leads into the kitchen which is well equipped, with a gas
stove, fridge, microwave, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, this is
the best room of the cottage as it lead off onto an enclosed balcony with
lovely views down towards the Umzimkulu river and farmlands, ideal for
early morning breakfasts. |

| Bedroom
Two open plan consist of double bed and two single beds with an en-suite
bathroom, toilet and wash basin. An upstairs loft is accessible by means
of a steep ladder from this room, ideally situated for kids with two single
beds.
Jackal
Buzzard Cottage x 1 - Includes: Self-catering
Jackal
Buzzard cottage has a small bedroom downstairs with a double bed and electric
blanket in winter. Fairly steep steps lead to a large bedroom upstairs
which also has a double bed, electric blanket in winter and a lovely view.
Downstairs there is a full bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and basin.
This cottage is fully-equipped for self-catering. |

Kestrel
is a cosy, thatched, one-bedroom cottage with double bed. The en-suite
bathroom consists of bath, shower toilet and basin. The large living area
has a custom built kitchen and the cottage is fully-equipped for self-catering.
Lammergeier
Log Cabin x 1 - Includes: Self-catering
Lammergeier
is a handcrafted log cabin with magnificent 360 degree views. Downstairs
there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and electric blanket in winter
and the other with two single beds. There is one full bathroom with a bath,
shower, basin and toilet and another separate toilet with a hand basin.
The large living and dining area has a log fireplace. This cabin is fully-equipped
for self-catering. |

Cottage is a three-bedroom log and block chalet. The main bedroom has a
