Intaka Wetlands is an award winning Bird sanctuary and walking distance from The Island Club. On the Grand Canal just outside your apartment you can take a gondola ride to the sanctuary.  Take a picnic lunch and enjoy watching the bird life from the viewpoints in the sanctuary.

From The V & A Waterfront you can go on a boat ride to Robben Island go on a sunset cruise. 
Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain and you will see the whole Cape Peninsula on a clear day.  Take a day trip to Cape of Good hope reserve and visit Simons town and the penguins at Boulders beach.

Beaches such as Clifton, Blouberg, Muizenberg and Gordons Bay is not to far away. Take a scenic drive to Hout Bay and around Chapmans Peak to Cape Point where two oceans meet.  Wind surfing, hang gliding and mountaineering is some of the outdoor activities you can enjoy

In Franschoek the Bastille Day festival in April is a big celebration with cheese and wine to enjoy.  The wine estates can be visited throughout the year for good wine tasting and excellent food.
