KO-KA TSARA BUSH CAMP..
Ko-Ka Tsara Bush Camp
meaning "small bucks kloof" in Khoi, is set in the Nuweveld Mountains of the Great Karoo, 8km outside Beaufort West
Gardens
This intimate and exclusive bush camp is situated on a Private Game Reserve.  10,000 of the 70,000 hectare reserve is dedicated to the 24 species of game which include the protected Mountain Zebra and Bontebok.  Red Hartebeest, Aardwolf, Kudu, Giraffe, Gemsbok, Klipspringer and Wildebeest roam the plains above the camp, and at night several species such as Black Wildebeest, Impala, Kudu and Bushbuck regularly visit the camp itself and can be seen from your chalet.

The night sounds of jackal calling create the ambiance of Africa and make this a nature lover's paradise.

The secluded bush camp consists of 7 A-frame thatched chalets, a Lounge / Conference Centre, Bar and Boma and is surrounded by rocky crags and the Nuveld Mountains.  Stylishly decorated, each chalet sleeps four with an en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and own private braai (barbeque) facility.  Each chalet has its own private parking area and is comprehensively furnished including air-conditioning and full heating for winter.

Activities are focused on fun, relaxation and bringing you in close contact with nature.  We offer exciting game drives in an open Land Rover with a well-informed guide.  You can roam our 4x4 trails in your own vehicle or drive yourself in the electric Safari Buggy and perhaps picnic in the bush amongst the animals.  The more active can explore our hiking trails and refresh in one of the river pools, or spend some time in the bird-hide and spot many of the 200 bird species recorded on the reserve.
Suntan and cool off in the pristine sparkling pool.  Enjoy a cooling drink in the bar and dine under the stars in the boma where dinner is served next to a blazing campfire in true African style.  We are in a prime position for some of the best star-gazing in South Africa with shooting-stars regularly seen.

If you are in need of peace and fresh air or simply want to "recharge your batteries", enjoy the welcome of Ko-Ka Tsara Bush Camp and experience the tranquility and silence of the Great Karoo.
